Hello Fashion Simplicity Readers!

I feel like I need to personally dust the cobwebs off my Fashion Simplicity namesake blog and get back to personal blogging on fashion, trends and what is functioning in the fashion industry. After take some time off to enjoy the fruits of working, graduate college with my Fashion Degree ( and start grad school MBA here I come!), and reflect on my career, Im ready to dive in. I look forward to the new year and getting back into the groove of things that I love to do. Writing, fashion and researching my industry on the millions of things that are going on in my industry. I look forward to bringing in the new year of 2013 with all of my readers that are still on board.

My new direction that I would like to take the blog is reporting more on retailers, fashion designers, and more industry insider business. In the past I focused more on styling and designers and would really like to give more a business foundation to the fashion industry. I look forward to sharing once more.

CHRISTIAN SIRIANO LIVESTREAM WITH FIJI FOR FASHION WEEK

Christian Siriano has teamed up with Fiji water to livestream his new collection for this coming season at 7 pm with live footage of the runway show up and close. For those of us who were not able to make it to this season's Fashion Week, this makes the pain much better. I have followed Siriano's career since his spotlight on Project Runway. His growth with his designs have opened up to a different spectra with a load range that is very exciting. He recently sat down with Fashionista.com to talk about his career, designs, and oh yeah PROJECT RUNWAY.

The designer dished how he believes fashion is about one great moment and that live streaming is very important to his fans and the brand. Live streaming also gives awareness of how the clothes should be styled and how they are move on the women's body that isn't necessarily obvious in the stores. When asked about how he chooses to work with companies, he goes on to say that he only picks projects that are interesting and that will enable him further advancement in learning from the industry. For instance, working with shoe retailer Payless has been a great eye opening for him because he got the whole process of how the design process goes and how development comes into play, " It helps so much when I'm designing each season for the runway or for the stores."

As far as Project Runway, well the designer states that, " I can say that after Runway the only thing I wanted was to create a collection and start a label. I didn't waste anytime living a fun life. I work really hard everyday at the business and trust me it's really hard but I make the best of it."

RACHEL ZOE NEW LOOKBOOK PHOTOGS FOR HER NEW COLLECTION + ZOE TEAMS WITH ANNE HATHAWAY FOR OSCARS

RACHEL ZOE REVEALS RACHEL ZOE COLLECTION
Fashion Stylist and mommy-to-be fashion mogul Rachel revealed her new contemporary fashion line today. The stylist has been in the works to debut her namesake line for some time now and has been working really hard on it with all the footage in the press that she has been working with. Zoe just recently did a spread with WWD using her pieces from her collection. My take on the new line, very moderate pricing but offers essential pieces that every working women can use in their wardrobe. Innovative wouldn't be the right phrase but very cute with nice cuts and nice fabrications. She is said to be currently filming her in the works with her line on her Bravo Tv reality show " The Rachel Zoe Project", which I live by. Her fashion consulting at Halston and her mini QVC line has done some great results so I see great things for Zoe in the future. I'm sure her fashion fans will appreciate her appetite to supply them with great structure of garmernts to choose from.

ANNE HATHAWAY and Zoe are also suppose to work together for the Oscar and althought the stylist is ordered to "slow down" in terms of working she will be in the backdrops monitoring every accesory, dress, and posture of the The Devil Wear Prada starlet that coming night. Word is the Rachel Zoe styling fee is a large lump sum according to The Hollywood Reporter. Although for the accompany of this stylist public image and best dress list is guarenteed so I'm sure that every penny will go into effect. Just saying, nothing wrong with a great value for a great outcome.

KIM KARDASHIAN COVERS HARPERS BAAZAR

For the Febuary Issue of HB ( Harpers Baazar) Kim Kardashian graces the cover as a egyptian Cleopatra and gets fab for the new issue. She even gets the chance to chat it up with her idol, Elizabeth Taylor. The 30 year old reality star looked posh in the page spread and a few natural non-cleo photogs as well. So what do you think, does Kimmy do Cleo justice? The star goes on to say, " I would absolutely characterize myself as ambitious." She also dishes on relationships, her budding music career and her friendship with music mogul Kanye West.






She talks about the road to success in how she started in the industry styling for the likes of Brandy, Ray-J and Paris Hilton. She eventually started to gain enough coverage for her work that she ventured out to the production of her now popular reality television show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that eventually opened the doors for party premieres, multiple endorsements, fashion lines, work out dvds, and many more business ventures. She accredits her Dad as a given for her business ethics that got her where she is today. " If we wanted this lifestyle, we had to work hard for it." Well I guess all of that advice paid off for Kimmy.

TIKA SUMPTER IS OUR NEW GOSSIP GIRL: NEW SEASON

If your a "gossip girl" nista you were a wise one and tuned in for the new tidbits that aired last night on the CW. With the"One Life To Live" gawww-gous alum, Tika Sumpter playing character Raina, the daughter of realtor mogul Russel Thorpe. She is said to be a regular in the cast in the fashion drama teen sequel for an entire season. I can say this should be an exciting season full of cat fights, great fashion and full of surprises. Anyone else excited to see what stylist and designers Tika will be draped in. I await for every second, the natural beauty has a gem talent and a presence that can pull off any style.
