Benjamin Bixby Clothing Line

The evolution of men designers have expanded in full throttle speed in the quality and variety of different ethnic backgrounds and creative boundaries that sway between establishments of a true gentlemen to great individualistic knowledge of what fashion is. Music imprint Andre 3000 has been developing his own clothing label entitled Benjamin Bixby for men since 2007. Named after himself, Andre Benjamin, the 33 year old rapper has expanded his self image of being the out of the box maven that he raves about. He states in GQ about his philosophy for his inspiration, " “During OutKast’s Stankonia period, I looked like I was from Mars. The music was otherworldly, and my character reflected that. I wanted to put that spirit into classic clothes, but ones that people could actually wear.” He goes to explain that his clothing label doesn't represent your average men's apparel, " I think the cut of Benjamin Bixby comes from comic-book characters, which I’ve been drawing since I was a kid. In comic books, the waist is always pinched, but the legs are full-cut, kind of like the Cracker Jack man.". He remarked that he got many of his influences not only from his accredited music, but in the heart of his home town of Atlanta, Georgia. " In high school, in Atlanta, when Grand Puba told us to wear Girbaud jeans, I wore Girbaud jeans. Then you had this prep movement happening: Ralph Lauren, Eddie Bauer, Bass, Sebago, and Timberland. So imagine me walking through [local housing project] Bowen Homes in the morning to catch the bus, but I’m dressed like a prep. As you get older, you go back to those things.” The label is in the works of expanding and will be sold in retailers very soon. Andre's touch of style is what the industry need. Classic and innovative all in one.

Spring 2009 Trend Boots

The declaration of boots have made their appearance on catwalks for the Spring 2009 fashion season, with a edge that is undeniably ignorable. The intimidating factor of hard rock leather, studded embellishments, and a sky scraping heel can leave a demeaning fashion statement that would leave any fashion junky blissful yet uneasy at the same moment. Designer Alexander Wang introduced his Gothic era studded open toe boot for the new season along with designers Givenchy, Prozena Schouler, Viktor and Rolf and YSL with their signature season blessings of eye popping architectural designs. The new inspiration behind these magnificent pieces? Well texture is definitely a element in the start of a great shoe with a great shape and form accommodation intertwined. Many designers are modernizing the shoe, but still keeping a sultry simplicity about it. In fact, this season designs might catch many off guard with some interesting concern of how much is too much in mind, but far fetch might be the risk that many are willing to explore. With the inches in heels rising sky high, designers are still paying close detail to a wearable shoe. Acclaimed shoe designer Christian Louboutin stated recently, " You can only bend the arch of the foot so far. 5 inch heels are not looked down upon like they once were." True indeed, but at any cost many of the designs are still breathtaking. Regardless of the ache pains, the results will look quite chic. Besides, who ever said that being fashionably daring was painless.
