Kanye West has been up and about for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park and looking fashionable at the least. The rapper/designer has been sporting some major jackets for several fashion show occasions along with a new hair agenda. The new look has been catching mixed opinions,but West always seems to pull it off with his " in your face" attitude regardless of the judgment on his fashion mishaps in the public's eye. West recently stated, in Details magazine , "Man, we talked about music for God know how long! Now let's talk about how my f*cking sweater didn't come back right from Korea. That's what's interesting me." Besides a true trendsetter marches to the own beat of their drum.

Fashion Week Fall Forecast 2009

Fashion Week is in the air and well here are a few of the predicted looks for the fall that will be in the season. Ralph Lauren premiere his fall line with dark tones of colors with soft fabrics that were edgy and classic. With the daunting of romantic lace in the infusion of his pieces, his collection screams classic. Oscar De La Renta served up some major fashion attitude on his runway debut. With his straight silhouettes and fur goings his looks were glamour and gorgeous. The color seems to be black for the fall occasion which should be a breeze to accomdate in one's wardrobe. Looks like re-inventing wardrobe's will be the smart look for these upcoming trends. Pieces that can be put together with just a few new accessories and instant dapper awaits. Besides, being smart with bugdeting is even more chic than splurging.

Solange for Armani on 5th Avenue

Since the acclaimed Solange is the spokesmodel for the Armani Jean campaign the fashionista was in attendance for the opening of the Armani store on 5th Avenue. She's been in the spotlight for three of Georgio Armani's opening's so far. The beauty has been making waves with the designer silhouettes and luxury fabrics. Miss chic has been working it out with her various color choices as well with pairing and matching with electric tones that set off her appearance altogther. In the direction of fashion, American Vogue seems to have fell under the calm spirit and magnificent spell of Michelle Obama in the issue of March 2009 Vogue. In fact, who could make an even better cover girl than that of the inspiring Michelle whom empowerment and endurance is an inspiration to young women all over the world. The first lady spills on motherhood in the white house, her new living and the famous inauguration that had the entire country in marvel of hope. This issue should hit stands in March and like the Italian Vogue that was a major hit in the United States, this spread should be amongst one of my favorites of all times. Red lips are the ultimate sensuality of sexy in fashion. Feminine sexy soft but yet hard is look at as a chic component in make up artistry. In the different shades of ruby, maroon, and soft reds it has allowed all shades of skin colors to venture into the trend of sexy red lips. In the Italian Vogue plus size super model Tocarra was photographed for the famously known fashion magazine with soft and natural hues but with a daring lip that was marvelously noticeable. Favorite designers such as Chanel and makeup mavens Bobby Brown and M.A.C. all have master the art of a great red lip that is sold in stores. A great way to apply this lovely look . Well make sure the lip is moisten. Start with a clear gloss that is not too heavy on the lip to make the lipstick go on smoother. Then simply apply the lip with the lipstick with starting with either the bottom or top lip. ( whichever you prefer) After applying the lip with the lipstick of your choice, take a tissue and placed lightly between your lips and pressed down lightly to take off excessive color of red. Then afterwards, apply a matching lip liner around the form of the lips to complete the look.

Chanel Iman on Page Six

Supermodel Chanel Iman graced the January 2009 cover of Page Six magazine where she opens up on her view of dating at 18, having Tyra Banks as a mentor in the modeling industry, and posing for Vogue Magazine. Born Chanel Iman Robinson, the 20 year old model has had an enlighten career thus far and continues to break boundaries of the fashion modeling industry. When asked about the lack of models of ethnicity used on the runway she remarked, "It’s not just black girls. It’s ethnic girls in general: Brazilian girls, Hispanic. You really don’t see a lot of Asians either. A lot of designers think that if every girl on the runway looks exactly alike, then people will come to the shows and buy the clothes because they won’t be focusing on the models….It’s not even just runway either… us ethnic girls should be getting a lot of the covers too! I would love to be on half of the campaigns these [white] girls are booking, all looking exactly alike. It’s not right. It’s not fair.” She touched on the topic of dating as well with rumored to be linked with Kayne West and rapper Tyga. “I’m young and I’m dating. But I’m not gonna say any names. There are special people in my life but nothing serious. Just having a man in general is a job! I have one job; I can’t have a second. I’m the type of girl that if I have a man, I want to be a good girl-friend and be there for them and take care of them.”Lastly she stated her love and acknowledge for Tyra stating, “She keeps it real. She tells it like it is. She’s really been a great mentor for me.”

KWest goes Designer Full Throttle

My main man Kayne West is making more tribute on his up and coming clothing line with none than the other Louis Vuitton on his sneaker collection that has been the talk of the town in Paris. The Chicago native stated in the Los Angeles Times earlier this week about how he felt about the opportunity, " Overwhelming -- I've wanted to be a fashion designer my entire life," he said. "And to see my stuff in the Vuitton show was something else. It was a dream come true. And the way those guys were styled -- they were dressed better than me!" (Los Angeles Times). Kayne West continues to study the art of fashion under that fashion empire at Louis Vuitton and promises his fans a great line in the future. (Side note:I think it will be a great edition to the Vuitton family and the items that I've seen in the works are remarkable. Go Yezzy!)
