In a season where innovative and creativity is a note for fashion knowledge I was inspired by the romantic aspiration of the " Let Them Eat Cake" show case for young Chicago Designers. In the works of
1. Foremost, this look is made to look edgy, malfunctioned and different. ( I'm attracted to weird looks. Sorry.:)) First, make your decision between which fabrication your willing to try. For me, the more ruin the better but for those that decide to go with a safer route an opaque fabrication of tights would be best. ( color choice as you please! Live a little.)
2. Lay out tights/panty hose out on a flat surface. Make sure that both legs are at equal length to each other. Especially the hose because they have a tendency to become loose if stretch. ( especially if you have previously worn them before.)
3. Take sewing scissors preferably because they are sharper and not dulled from the usage from paper or other objects that interfere with the crispness. For tights, measure about 1 1/2 to 2 inches with a ruler. Take the section in your finger tips and before careful not to cut yourself. Cut slits horizontally, in any section that you are willing to expose. Be careful not to over cut in particular areas, because to much exposure can make it look like a bit to much. Make sure there is equal spacing in between.
4.For the hosiery, achieving this look is a lot easier because of different fabrications of difference. Hosiery is made of silk/or synthetic fabrication of sateen that is woven very delicately to give it the sheer finishing. Repeat the same steps as you would with the tights, but if you want added runs throughout the hosiery there are extra finishing. Run your scissors vertically down the sides of the hosiery to create a run.
5. Still confused on how to accessories the look, well pair it with a pair of denim shorts and white tailored white shirt with a really funky edgy boots/booties. I preferably paired my sheer ripped hosiery with a pleather (synthetic fabrication of leather) midnight mini shirt from forever 21 and Steve Madden stilettos. ( Peep toes are just as fabulous)
